Book Sales & Bookstores

All proceeds from the Friends bookstores and book sales go to support our public libraries, purchasing new books or other media and supporting library programs. Our bookstores and book sales are staffed by volunteers from the Friends. Perhaps you would like to volunteer?

Bookstores
Good quality books at great prices are always available at the Friends Bookstores located inside the Main and Southside Libraries.
Hardbacks $2.00, paperbacks $1.00.
The bookstores accept only cash or checks.
Bookstore Hours: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM every day except Sunday

Booksale Book Sales
All proceeds from the sale of donated materials are used to purchase new resources and support programs for the Library system.

Members of the Friends of the Santa Fe Public Library have special private shopping hours before the Book Sales open to the public. Not a member? Join Now! Memberships are also available at the door at all Book Sales.

Electronic scanners are allowed at book sales (not at bookstores), and with or without a scanner, we ask that customers do not remove large numbers of books away from the sale tables to go through them before other customers have a chance to look at them. Please remove from table areas only those you have already decided to purchase. Book sales accept cash or check only, no debit cards or credit cards.
