Join
RSVP and Receive Volunteer Benefits
The Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is a nationwide
organization dedicated to the belief that volunteers
make the world go round and so you deserve great support.
If you are age 55 or over and you volunteer with the
Friends of the Stanta Fe Public Library, or anywhere
else, you are invited to
join RSVP.
RSVP offers many free benefits including supplemental
liability insurance while you drive your auto as a
volunteer; supplemental personal injury insurance while
volunteering; and accidental-loss-of-life insurance,
while you are volunteering. RSVP will also invite you
to an annual recognition banquet with catered lunch
and a dance band; take you to the annual NM Conference
on Aging; pay for you to take the AARP Safe Driving
class to reduce your own insurance premium; offer modest
mileage reimbursement when funding is available; and
give you volunteer recognition gifts throughout the
year.
To join, just fill out the brief RSVP
enrollment form. Then,
four times a year, RSPV will ask
you to email, mail, fax or deliver the number of
hours you have volunteered in the past three months.
By being an RSVP member you can also help bring
grant funds into our community from the federal government
and the state of New Mexico. For more information about
the NM RSPV program, please contact Kristin Slater-Huff
by phone (505-955-4760) or email. |
